Construction
Well structured is this skywatcher telescope with the optical tube material that is rolled steel and has been power coated reflective gloss black colour with gold fleck tint. The front and back part are made of cast aluminium painted in white or black.
Sky-Watcher Black Diamond ED120 Refractor Telescope benefits with the Schott glass which has been used as the front crown element in the objective. Schott glasses are the high quality glass which is found only in selective models like this one.
Winning the spirit of observation is the metallic high transmission lens coating. Proudly it presents the lens with MHC which ensures optimum light put through of 99.5% which improves the clarity and sharpness of the objects under vision.
Technical
With the objective lens diameter of 120 mm and has been constructed with the light baffled system that castoffs stray and unfocused light. Added to it is the tube interior which is flat blackened and hence it prevents the unfocused internal light reflection.
This telescope offers fine focusing adjustments for the precision 2” crayford focuser. Also found in this is the attachment hardware which allows it to be attached to any mount. These quick release tube rings that are make available is made of cast aluminium and are painted white in colour. This telescope is best suited for Astrophotography where the deep sky objects can be focused and photographed.

The focal length of 900mm makes it view the surface of the planets and the formations in the sky. What goes right is the finderscope which is 8×50 right angle that helps to locate the targeted object with less effort. Given are the 2 types of eye piece which has long eye relief and makes it suitable for the spectacle wearers.
